Hi This is my P5 (1963 saloon) when I bought her, but sadly she needs new sills and some other rust repair, so I have stripped her down and am doing some mods along the way. Oops, gotta figure out how to upload pics.
Anyway, she has ford pattern alloy wheels, lowered, 225/50/16 tyres and was originally a 3 litre saloon. When I got her she had been fitted with a 4.4lt v8 from a p76 which I have removed in favour of a 3.9 from a discovery and I am changing the auto box from a BW35 to a ZF 4HP22 4spd auto. Not sure whether to go with the fuel injection of a 4 barrel holley yet.
In repairing the sills I am intending to refit original outer sills and make my own inner sills with 100x50x5mm RHS inserted inside for added strength and removal of the jacking tubes (use hydraulic jack) as this looks smooth from underneath and stops the tubes from rubbing on speed bumps. Rear doors were rusted out but luck to pick up 2 brand new ones for $50 each when a Rover workshop closed down.
She ("Georgina") has twin stainless "Tuned" exhaust and sounds sweet. cant wait to get het back on the road. I have had her for about 7 years now and will most likely have her for a lot longer yet... just cant seem to give up on her.
Not sure what paint to go for yet but thinking two tone silver or chapaine over green or burgundy with cream leather interior.
