The 2014 3 Lochs was not as well supported as previous years, possibly due to a date clash with several other events and also due to poor weather on the day. Two P5Bs did attend and complete the road trip, but this year we had to miss out the trip up the "Rest & Be Thankful" hillclimb as our own "rest & be comfortable" stopover at Arrochar resulted in us getting there after the gates had been closed. This shot of Cairns Galbraith's coupe shows the variety of cars entered in this event, from true Veteran & Vintage to classics from the modern era. Also attending were several replicants, as well as the Cobras and GT40 there was a Porsche 356 Speedster. I have no problem with these cars being part of an event, but I do wish their owners would be honest and declare them to be what they are, not imply they are real originals. It is NOT a 1964 Ford GT40 if it was built from a crate of parts in 2005! And again, would you consider an Eagle E type a rebuilt classic or a replica? Jim Walker's P5B was placed second overall in the concours back at the yacht club at Rhu, keeping the Provost's Trophy in Rover P5 Club member hands again. Congratulations! photos-from-the-2014-event
