I'm not trying to be too philosophical here...but as you add on the years and perhaps when you hit your 60s you tend to reflect on the value and worth of the things in your life. I'm certain as I take that last breath (hopefully at some distant time) I won't feel a warm glow thinking of my former workplace or employer and all those times I stayed back or worked during weekends because of some misguided sense of loyalty or responsibility. No, perhaps I'll think of the time I either took or not to spend with family, good friends and the individuals that really matter in life. There's always more stuff to buy, jobs to do and everything's always urgent at work. The clock's ticking so choose your priorities carefully.

Trouble is Vince Glenn is self employed and as we all know "needs must at times" a shame as we we looking forward to seeing him and Karen.

The comment wasn't directed at anyone in particular John...more an observation on life and on prioritization.

Hopefully I won't be self-employed much longer. I am looking to pack in the joys of teaching people to drive for the last 22 years and move on to a different role within the DVSA HAVE A GREAT DAY LADS and LASSES

Cheers Glenn, sorry to miss you. At least I now know what the B in P5B stands for! It would have been nice to meet you Peter (and your good lady?) You are a great contributor to the forum and you appear to be as mad as me....lol

See you next time Glenn! I'll be back (as someone once said)!
Perhaps you organise a meet for us all when the bathroom is ready?!
I am now ladyless (most of the time). Which allows me to spontaneously do anything I want and that has it's advantages too.
Best of luck with the leaving self-employment process!
