Just the one Rover so far. A very clean 1974 (I think) P6 3500S...scarab blue with cream leather interior. Unfortunately my brother "wrote it off" within 6 months of me moving to the USA.
Btw, just joined this site because I'd like a Rover again. I'm looking for a P5B Coupe if anyone knows of one in California please let me know. Currently own only 1950's thru early 70's american cars with the exception of a 68 P1800S.

It might be worth getting in touch with 'Dirkco' as he is also from the USA.

Hello Rover Rookie!!
I am in the Northeast of the USA near Boston. The fact is that you can count on one hand how many P5b coupes are in the USA. I just spent $16000 USD for a nice one and flew to BC to buy it. While it was in reasonable shape the owner used the word Concours and the best coupe in the world. I got the car last week and was disappointed that it did not live up to the hype. So I am spending a further 6k and having striped repainted and the seals replaced. I guess the saving grace is that it was originally a ministerial car and was used in Hong Kong by the then Ambassador so it does have some history.
If you are interested in a P5 coupe that needs work but has a sound body I have one

Hi Dirk
I'm in San Francisco, so we have a bit of a gap between us, and it sounds like you own most of the Rovers bought into the states ;o) There's very few that I've seen, a few P6's and that's about it. Anyway, if possible can you send some pix of your car for sale.
Thanks Rob

Hi Rob,
Just send me a email and I will send you a few pictures.
Actually there are quite a few Rovers in the West. I will put you in touch with John Burkhard he is in your area and is sort of the gatherer of Rover afflicted in the west
You should also jump on the Rovernet and introduce yourself,
Dirk dirk@vy-tek.com

Hi Phil. I was a member of the P5 Rover Club from 1996 (when I bought the Coupe) to 2005. I moved to Dubai in 2003 and unfortunately I allowed my membership to lapse (silly b****r) . I'm now back in the UK and have posted my application to rejoin the club. I've also made a start with restoring the coupe though it will be done slowly as time and budget constraints will apply (as usual). I hope to get some pictures of the Coupe in the Forum as I found the instructions for uploading them yesterday. It will take me most of the day to figure them out! Keep Rovering Mick
