Resurgam said l agree. If I were to fit an alternate wheel I'd choose something with 'Period Charm', ergo the Nardi wheel I initially posted or something manufactured to look period. Imagine fitting a contemporary steering wheel to your treasured P5. Modern steering wheels like modern cars make a lot of sense if design parameters such as safety, ergonomics, power delivery, fuel efficiency, etc are taken into account, but no one I believe drives a classic/historic car for those reasons.

Colin, the original large wheel suits me as I drive holding the wheel at 20 to 4 with my elbows on the rests and at 10 to 2 with my left hand at 10 and my right thumb and index finger at 2 with my elbow on the window surround:o. c.f. the Range Rover driving position. I drive holding the wheel at the 20 to 4 position with my left thumb and index finger at 20 and my hand at 4 with my elbows on the rests, or at the 20 to 2 position with my right elbow on the window sill.
