Hello all
Just to clarify a few questions. Yes the national is still going ahead on the 12-13th September. The books are still open and will remain open until the 6th September but anyone who books in after mid August won't get into the program's. I The hotel has been closed you can still book but it's at their normal rates if you send your entry form in after the 6th I cannot guarantee you will receive your passes and everyone will be charges the same entry fee as a non member which will be £18 per person for adults and £7.50 for children.
Any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch with me

Looks good. Wish I could have made it this year but a family illness prevented. Good afternoon all, I would just like to thank all that were involved in arranging the Rally at Beaulieu yesterday. I was fortunate enough that my son was able to come down from London for the day, the last time we visited Beaulieu was in June 1995 when he was seven years old. We were able to rein act a photograph that I took back then, this time with a cast model of a P5. The great thing with my Rover is that it has never had a wireless fitted, at first I thought how will I cope. Then on the many journeys I have had during the summers too various shows around the south east, I immensely enjoy listening to the lovely V8 & have time to think & find this very therapeutic. When I have passengers like yesterday, my son & I spoke for the duration of the trip too & from Beaulieu. Once again, a big thank you all concerned. Best Regards Porky Attachment Deleted

When Nationals are set mid-country more Members and Guests can be expected but venues around the coast, fewer. So it is pleasing that so many drove way down south to Beaulieu in the depths of the New Forest for the 35th anniversary of the Club. Always good to meet members with their families (and Rovers!) especially from mainland Europe who make that extra effort to be with us every September. Lots of old friends to meet with and in good surroundings with so much for folk to see and do. Thanks are due to the organisers and marshals and for Him upstairs who kept the rain at bay all day!

I've never seen so many P5s! If I was able to add up all the P5s I've seen in the flesh in my whole life, I doubt it would be that many.

We were back home yesterday evening and it was a great pleasure to be at the National again and meet people I know, people I didn't know and, as ever,I regret not to have meet people I would have like to know but not enough time and so much things to look at! Thanks to Paul for the organisation and I hope we meet at the next National I have pictures but I have problems to extract them from my new camera, I 'll try to do it quickly

Although I have owned my P5b for many years this was my first rally attendance. What a great day, thanks to all that made it possible. I met many interesting people and saw many P5s all with their own personalities. I even had a very informative chat with "Jeff", who explained the four speed box and his plans to improve his Rover. The only down side to my visit was that I came away with a list of job for over the winter. loved the day and looking forward to the next.

As users of the P5 forum on facebook know, unfortunately my P5 didn't get there due to stripped spark plug threads But I did get there in the 'daily' and had a really nice time. Not enough time to chat to nearly as many people as I wanted but I came away with a headrest to match a single one I had, a pair of overriders solid and suitable for rechroming (to replace the 'colanders' the chroming company handed back to me!) and thanks to 'Guidedog' Bob and his lovely wife for bringing me his spare anti roll bar for my little project. I also saw the beautiful 24k mile saloon which was only 53 numbers away from mine (XXC 456K and mine XXC 509K) on its registration plate. Another car bought direct from Rover in Solihull in December 71, its amazing how similar it was to my Earls Court car. His has lasted better than mine I wish I could have got a picture of them side by side! Thanks again to Paul and his team for a great day out. Loving the badge bar badge too. PS. Cyrille (Cyf) I saw your car but I'm sorry I missed you on the day.. Well done for making it from France..

The young man with a camera and tripod is Andrew Lancaster. He is Australian but now living in London. He had to sell his P5 when he moved over here. He also attended Saturdays event and has said he will make his pictures available.
