Dear All The sad truth is Rover is no more. This is all the more reason for us to keep the name alive and show the world what they were once capable of. And please don’t reply with the likes of "... building rubbish." We should be more positive about our cars, and I agree with those who think that we often undervalue them. After all, if we don't think they are worth more than a few quid, how can we expect the public to do so. However, something good can come out of everything. ;D At our last pub session here in lovely Cambridgeshire our ideas-man Dave Cole came up with the following, which he thought I should pass on in my capacity as PR-Officer - so here it is... Many ex-Rover dealers will, at some stage, want to get rid of everything related to the marque - signs, documentation, handbooks, etc. This could be your chance to not only preserve something for posterity but also get that lovely illuminated Rover sign for your garage, for example - and most likely for nothing. They'd throw it into a skip otherwise. So why not contact your local dealer and have a chat. Remember, what is rare now was everyday stuff when it was contemporary. Let us know how you are getting on to motivate and encourage others. The more we can save the better.

Hi Peter May I take this opportunity to wish you all the best in your role in PR. I would also like to thank the club and everyone involved, The Take Five magazine is excellent. The effort the committee give is very much appreciated by myself and I am sure is duly recognised by all the other members. GlennR

Peter and Glen,
Thanks for the positive notes...I completely agree!
Peter did you once live in Germany and have a P5B coupe for sale there?
Regards,
Peter

Dear Peter Sorry I haven't been able to reply to you sooner. Thank you for the kind words, which I'd also like to extend to Glenn and Phil. Yes, Peter, I did live in Germany once. As a matter of fact I was born and bred there. Unfortunately, I did not even know Rover P5s existed back then so I was never in the position to sell one either. What is good, though, is that interest in our cars on the continent seems to be growing. Only recently has Oldtimer Markt, a German magazine, published an article on P5s. Let me know if I can help to spread the word over there. Peter
