i`m collecting the car today ,i live in doncaster [near the racecourse] at the moment its a bit of a basket case but I'm in no hurry to complete i need to get the engine fired up so i can move it around ,bit heavy to push i`l try and put some pics on if a can thanks Gary ps thats in the uk sorry

A vinyl roof was not a factory option as far as I know certainly not listed on my original paperwork ;D it was a big thing in the late 70's to cover the roof in vinyl after a few years it tended to suffer in several ways like fading, lifting, bubbling and causing rusting underneath

I agree with John - definitely not factory option although they would did do anything a customer wanted. Vynil roofs did not really take off fully till mid 70's when almost every car had one and vynil roofs fitters were everywhere loads of people me included at least twice, had them fitted to s/h cars. By then they could be had in any colour

hi i spoke to the owner today and he informed me he had the vinyl roof fitted some time ago i`v not yet had Chance to have a good look round the car yet except underneath where i think they used a pigeon !!! to weld it in some places ,still nothing i carn`t fix .their are no brakes so I'm certainly going to be busy roll on summer i`ll keep you posted gary ;D

Thanks Garry. I realized that once you mentioned the racecourse. No racecourse anywhere near our Doncaster. It was the gaz/garry link that caught my eye. A slight hint of downunder.

I am in East Grinstead. My Father had a new car every 3 years ending in 1973, they were, 5 p5b coupe, & they were always ordered in silver birch all over with Ebony trim. Derek
