I have recently added ( Last Weekend) a high level Brake light attached to the inside of the rear screen at bottom centre. I believe that modern drivers are now conditioned to expect this and have been startled a few times by people who appeared not to have noticed my standard brakelights untill a bit late. My lights are all in excellent condition with clean lenses inside and out and good bulbs. Have others fitted these lights. I think it actually looks quite smart.

Anything that improves safety must be good. Any chance of a photo, Alan?

Allan it looks good and very practical. This could start the ball rolling, as a lot of us use our cars on the Motorway network, and with the sleepyheads out there high intensity brake lights are almost a necessity to wake them up. I like your tyres too, with the darker colours I always think that a small white band gives the car that something extra.

Hey Allan
Where do you get the Coopers from? 205/70? I'm using 185/15s, but heard that you can put a 205/15 on the standard rim. Am I mixing up something here?
cheers

I have the feeling that If you change to 205's and you have a power steering unit which has tha smallest of leaks then the wider tyres may make the problem worse. The green p5b which I posted yesterday has 205's and a leaky power steering unit which was pretty bad as I remember.
