My car repaint is nearly complete 1971 p5b but I need referance photos of the ending front and Rear of the pin stripe. So I get it correct. I have photos of my car prior to repainting but I don't know if it was correct previously . I suspect it was, but I need to confirm prefeably before Tuesday Morning New Zealand time Monday night uk time.

Hi Allan This pic is taken from James Taylors book on the P5 and P5B's, so it should be correct. Bottom two pics only apply to Coupes.

Alan
I' spoke to JT a long time ago when i put together a detailed article for the club magazine on coachlines.
the only part we 'disagreed' on was colour.
I said on two tone cars the coachline colour matched the top and/or bottom. Silver Birch over burnt grey = burnt grey over silver birch coachlines. Single colour cars appeared to have silver birch on dark cars, or burnt grey on light cars JT said they were black or white, not the coloued.
Also I found the coachline on one side never matched exactly to the coachline on the other, especially the way they finished. I could only put this down to the craftsmen being right or left handed handed - impossible to match a left ot right line as you will always be going right to left on the other side.
