Some randomn thoughts on cleaning up Rostyles. Keen to know what the expert P5B owners clean their Rostyles. #1.Remove tar, mud, oil & brake dust from both sides of Rostyle wheel.Use 50/50 mix of diesel/petrol.
#2.Treat surface rust.Paint triangular sections with gloss enamel paint.Apply bitumastic paint to inboard rims.
#3. Use chrome polish.
#4. Only for the fussy.Remove tyre from Rostyle rims Check inside for corrosion.Recharge with nitrogen gas.(which runs cooler and minimises rust)
#5.Fabricate locking lug for wheel centres badge holder to prevent school boys souveniring them....?
Cheers, Nick Auckland.
#4.Remove tyre from rim.

Nick. don't use gloss enamel for the black sections, it will look awful. Use black satin paint. Mask it all and then use an aerosol. The finish is very good. I did mine two years ago and they still look as good as when I first did them.

8-)Better still replace them with the P5 type wheels and hub caps as the chrome is not particularly good quality and rechroming properly is very expensive.
Rostyles are realy too flash for a car such as a Rover anyway

You shouldnt use diesel fuel or petrol , it is detrimental to the tyres. Personally, I would keep the rostyles. Its all a matter of good taste, which, of course, I have plenty of
