My struggle to get a day-to-day use P5B coupe continues … the car is coming along nicely, and (inevitably) will be ready just after summer when the weather becomes crap.
I have an issue … to get a Thatcham class one alarm, I need to fit central locking to the doors. Has anyone fitted central locking, and if so, which donor vehicle did you take the central locking bits from? I seem to remember, years ago, there was an article in a classics magazine which had central locking fitted in a P5 from a Jaguar XJ6.
Any advice gratefully received.

Might be worth looking at www.dcp-shop.co.uk and select "car security". RichardF Southampton

Central Locking fitted - plenty of kits are available. Interestingly enough, I had huge trouble sourcing the 6 1/2 inch speaker under the back shelf, and none with the Central Locking.

Has anyone fitted central locking to the Saloon which has different locking set up?
I cannot see how central locking is more secure than separate door locking but then insurance companies know what is best especially when they come to pay out a claim
