Growing up in the 80's, me and my mates all had Rover P5b Saloon's, "coupe's" where not considered, as they are 4 doors, and not traditionally 2 doors, we didn't get it. Anyway, there was in total 8 of the Saloon beasts running around
Northolt / Greenford, west London, that belonged to us, all with whitewalls, cherry bombs and only played rock n roll. Rover's back then exchanged hands at reasonably cheap, we never payed more than £120 per car, and they all drove,
we bought 13 P5's just for spares back in the summer of 84, if only we had our business heads on we could have started something up in Rover spares and repairs, we was always tinkering with these Rovers, and got to know them inside out, and at the tender age of 24 looking back, that was pretty good, now i still have my Rover, and still enjoy working on it, but meeting up with one of my old mates last weekend, who i have not really met for over 25 years, brought up the good old days of us building and street racing these Rover's, and wondering if any of them other Rover's still exist, now we know a couple have died, one in a crash, which needed a tree to be cut down in order to remove the car, and another ended up in a breakers yard as it was stolen, but two others we are unsure, the registrations are YMF 539H and MCN 440K, if anyone knows of their whereabouts that would be great, or know of how i may be able to track them down, or if, like the others, ended up on the track or breakers yard, my mate was shocked to know i still had mine, and now wishes he had kept hold of his,
