I greased everything and the window now works very smoothly except for one thing...
With the window closed, if I place the palm of my hand firmly on the outside of the glass and push down, I am able to open the window! Not a good security feature
I could of course gum the whole thing up with stonechip or underseal, as it was before, but that hardly seems right.
Maybe there is a simple clutch mechanism on the small cog spindle. Where indicated on the photo, there is a spring inside (maybe I have assembled it wrongly - the old spring was broken). Perhaps this spring is supposed to press against the inside of the housing, and offer some resistance, until the handle is moved?
Anyone have any experience of this, or any thoughts?
