Ihave now road tested Glenns new sill trims - look me out at P5 rallies. They fit perfectly on my P5B saloon with its original sills - unfortunately these sills are starting to look worse for wear and need some patching/derusting so I have removed them pending tidying up. I have also tried them on another saloon with Wadhams sills on and also my Coupe 3 Litre neither of these have any clips on but again they seem to lay right so provided replacement sills have been fitted properly no-one should have any trouble. The finish on these is excellent and as far I as I am concerned they are a precise copy of the original items. I would recommend the matching clips as well. They will make the final touch for a concourse car but for even the less than perfect car with missing or damaged strips they really do set the sill off. I hope the club will buy some of these from Glenn to supply to members at a special price - he has spent a lot of time sorting these out and deserves a pat on the back. I have some phots but they do not do them justice - let me know if you want any more information but contact Glenn direct to buy these at their special introductory price

Glenn/Phil, if the club are not in a position to do anything to help market these trims i could possibly do something to help. Just a thought.
Regards David

Chipboard tubes with Kraft outer ply 63.5mmi/d x3mm wall x 2000mmL Total £12.46 p&p (£10 carriage, £2.46 packaging)
Total: £88.46 for a pair of sill trims inc p&p Stainless Steel Sill trims plus clips x24 £102.46 (£4 discount) inc p&p
Stainless Steel Clips. They won’t rust! Full pack:(12 clips per side). 24 in total: £18.00 I hope these prices will be as shown or slightly less. A pack of 12 clips will cost: £10 The sill trims/clips may be picked up from my address by appointment only. Delivery charges and packaging will then be removed. Cost of sill trims will be: £76
PS. Can anybody be good enough to send me some photos of the sill trims on the car? The more the merrier but close up shots would be very helpful, plus the measurement from the bottom of the sill to the bottom edge trim and the measurment from the top edge of the sill to the top edge of the trim.

Glenn, Would these sill trims fit a P5 Mk IIa Saloon? If so, do you think that the car would look good with them installed?
Just curious.

They should fit any P5 Marque unless anyone wishes to correct me. The only two points I would make are that the sills have not been repaired to a point where the profile has been compromised ie a bulging filler repair or dented sill. As for your second point the descision I feel has to lay with you, although if the car was manufactured without the trim the purists may raise an eyebow? The trim though does improve the asthetic look of the car in my opinion, but it is clearly an individuals choice.

They will fit - I tried them on my Mk11c Coupe - the sills were identical throughout P5/P5B production.

Took particular note of the 8? P5B's on the WM club stand at Weston Park today plus mine - unusually all did have strips in varying condition as usual in in varying positions but the most common was at the top of the sill (just about) and within 1/4" of the back end of the sill which I think looks the best.
One set was held on by a self tapper at each end though
