I know I should know the answer to this question but nevertheless here it is. I'm thinking of having my road wheels re powder coated as they were already like that when I got my Rover. They can be done with a chrome finish and they look very good indeed lve seen some that were done for another car. The problem is that if you want a bright finish the black areas of the wheels will have to be shiny too. So is that correct or was the inner black areas of the wheels originally a matt finish

I recently did all 5 of my wheels David after having the new set of white bands fitted. I did them all by hand and used Satin black hammerite smooth. They all came out rather well and with the chrome polished up as best as I could get it which is good and the chrome beauty rings fitted they look great.
The set of beauty rings were off ebay and only cost £35 and fit nice and snug and finish off the rims.
