So, having presented myself I feel I can now start asking questions :-)
In line with trying to use the car as much as possible I'd like to fit a tow bar to my P5b. My plan in terms of documentation is to say that it's always been there, and it was quite usual not to record anything about this when the car was first registered. (The advantage of having a car that's been in the country for all of it's life)
However, I just wanted to check here, I got an offer Watling (www.watling-towbars.co.uk) who had tow bars for the P5b and the total cost seemed reasonable. Does anyone here have any experience with these tow bars? Are they OK, are they difficult to fit? Are these ones the ones to use, or is there general consensus on something else?
Any feedback welcome.
Thanks.

Hi a tow bar wasn't a factory fit so not from new, I used my MK1 and my Mk3 and my two coupes for towing in the late 60's and 70's. At that time there were several companies like Dixon Bates and Witter both are still going WITTER --- DIXON BATE I kept the Witter on my last coupe and it's been there since 1973! I don't tow with it now it is there as bumper protection You will find fitting the one that goes under the bumper easier to fit!
