Greetings one and all on this 40C day ( 110F ) in Ballarat. Bloody hot. Now, I've noticed from various pictures that some owners of P5's have a tray, plastic I presume, that fits on to the indentation in the front centre transmission tunnel. Does any one know of these.
Cheers, Lewis

Cold and wet here, could do with some warmth !
I presume you are refering to the lid of the tool tray, every P5 has one.

I think he might be referring to a tray that I've seen, but only in pictures of cars advertised for sale, in a couple of P5s, that's been fitted into the recessed part on top of the transmission tunnel in the front, where the P5B gear selector is and which is vinyl covered.
I've seen a couple that appear to he plastic and others that appear to be covered in carpet. As far as I'm aware they weren't available from Rover (happy to be corrected), so I presume they're either aftermarket (haven't seen any advertised) or home made.

I have a few trays - some with wooden fronts which I guess were fitted to the clock side foot well to be P5s and others with a slim aluminium frame (P5Bs) fitted above the auto gear lever. I have yet to see one with a full set of tools. The foam insert seems to have changed with the selection of tools available at the time.
