Just a quick update to say the flickering headlight problems I was having has been resolved by removing the Ammeter shunt and cleaning the corrosion from the connectors, this job took four hours to remove and replace, it can be done by only removing the black trim that sits on both crashrail shelves either side of the steering column , we used blue tack to place the bolt in the socket to guide it into the hole to the left hand side of column which is a knightmare due to the electrical loom which sits near by, we also found an 8mm socket fitted best, the other side required a 8mm ring spanner ground down to allow it to slip over the bolt and beside the Baker light casing which is a very tight squeeze. Thanks to all for advice especially Phil who was right about screen leaks causing such issues.

Pleased it is sorted - few know about these junctions and they are only on P5Bs. Sort out the leaky screen seal now

PS - The spanner size is actually 5/16" AF and 2BA will fit although the threads are 3/16" UNF
