Hello all, does anyone know what tools came on the toolboard in the boot when the cars were new? I know there's the jack and a wheel wrench, but that's all I have. I've seen a photo of a tyre pump as well - does anyone know what make it was? And was there anything else, as there seem to be a few spare terry clips on the board in my car. Maybe a spare fan belt? Thanks!

The tools changed over time in particular the jack/ The tyre pump never made it to Mk2s! The tool board clips varied to year as well
What year is yours? Apart from the V8 there was a starting handle and a wheel brace of varying designs. Nothing else!
Tools trays were even more various.

Thanks Phil, mine's a 1968 P5B, so maybe it only ever had the jack and wheel brace. I'd assumed it would be standard through the models (apart from the starting handle), so thanks for your reply.

Our 68 P5B had the P5 triangular jack and a right angled wheel brace from memory - most P5Bs have the later single post screw jack

My MkIIC P5 Coupe is registered as 1966 and has a wheel brace, starting handle, 2-legged jack, tire pump, and wheel cover removing tool. Attachments:

Mine is an export model with LHD, but it was exported and sold in West Germany originally. Somehow it made it's way to the USA eventually.

The tyre pump, a hangover from P2/P3 and P4 models is more of a quaint period novelty and show piece. It is hard work even on a P2 and P4/P5s a waste of effort especially with radials which need 20% more pressure
