Just finished reading this edition properly. It contains a wealth of useful information. In particular Ken Nelsons pictures, problems and tips sorting out his HD8 carb on his P5 has been restoring from a wreck. There is a good read from Geoff Arthur as usual. At last Midlands (East) has a regional rep Chris Wright so perhaps more P5s P5Bs will be seen out at rallies and indeed on the road! He also has a useful article on his P5B's HS4s

I could not agree more, that article by Ken, sorting out a HD8 carb, has pointed out that the O ring on my bleed valve was missing. The car was running OK before but now its much better. I have been following D3Sshooter, on You Tube and he gives a very succinct description of a SU carb and how to set it up. The spring sizes can make a great difference to tuning, but he was working on a generic carb. Ken points out the modifications that Rover made to get their engine running. I like the economiser, I thought it was just a gimmick but it also makes a difference to the engine if it is not attached. I enjoyed reading about Radford as I was aware of their work on the Mini but did not realise they started off with Rolls Royce and Bentley. Living in the North it was good to see there will be a Rover meet in York at the Aircraft museum, which I intend to attend. I nearly got all the Spot the differences this time only missed one.

Agreed, the magazine is always a good read, with many interesting articles, it must take a lot of time to put together.
