Does anyone know if the Distributor Doctor is alive and well?
I emailed him 2w ago (from Australia) and have not received a reply.

What's the problem with your distributor? There's a company over here in Melbourne that has been around for decades and specialises in distributors and ignition systems. My original distributor was badly worn years ago. It needed replacing. I gave it to these people and they modified a NOS locally made Bosch distributor for a V8 Holden, so that it fitted the Rover engine. It was then timed to match the Rover's Lucas specs. So all parts are readily available, new. I then obtained another Lucas distributor and put it aside just in case, for the when day came that originality was worth more than function.

Thanks for replying.
I need a new rotor for the P3 distributor (among other things).

Sorry, I assumed it was for a P5B. A have asked around in Rover car club circles? I'm sure that the RCCA over hear would know the answer. The first meeting for this year (thanks to Covid) is this Friday night. If you'd like to send me some details, I'll ask the local experts.
I obviously wasn't paying enough attention. I only just noticed that your post was in the general Rovering section.
