finally identified a cold start problem today , the cable splitter/yoke has broken allowing the LH carb cable sleeve to "pull through" rather than open the LH choke. One of the hole retaining rings in the barrel has failed , cheap plastic i guess. Anyone any idea where i can get a replacement one please? Preferably not the same plastic Domino type that i have/had.
thanks

I saw some on one of those kit car accessory sites some time ago. Have you tried Burlen?

You are right - it is not the best design. It's a pain to assemble and prone to stick. But this is the way Rover designed it and I believe it has always been in plastic. Unless you want to design something different, Wadhams is the best (only) available and closest to the original.

My brother has an old Guzzi and the splitter is different to that. Leyland penny pinching I expect was the reason they may have been used if that the case as mine is different to that and is not cheap plastic. West German VDO/Kienzle clocks were also used. They do work well enough though
