I have just opened up the nacelle to investigate an electrical problem. A by product of this action was that the ignition warning light fell apart. I had a look and wondered how you would change the bulb. At the back of the little black plastic tube is what appeared to be a self contained bulb unit which I thought could just pull out and give me access to put in a new bulb. However, it was stuck fast as was the same part on the oil pressure warning light. How do I separate these? Is it just that I must apply more force or is there some knack to changing the bulb?

The lamp holder is a tight push fit into the black tube. The tube has an internal thread into which is screwed the coloured warning lamp lens, either red or green. This holds it tight against the binnacle. There is a triangular distance piece behind the binnacle which accurately locates the warning lights (two or three depending on whether a manual choke is fitted)You will have to hold the tube and try to work the lamp holder out which will enable you to change the bulb.

Thank you Percy. I thought that would be the case.
