Sorry if I'm opening an old wound but: I have a few inches of water lying in the boot well - opposite side to the battery. I think this area originally had a grommet suggesting that material in that area should drain out but how does it get there? No leakage from external fuel filler area and all rubber seals replaced. Not possible to tell if this is rainwater. Any reminders please?

Probably water that has come in between the stainless trim and the body. Need to re mastic the trim, or drill a hole in the boot floor.

Lie inside the boot with a torch and have someone spray from a hose?

I was hoping for some more comments because I have a similar problem. the P5B is normally under cover but if outside a little puddle does collect in the boot after heavy rain. It seems to be fed by drips that emerge from the aperture by the Boot light Could it be something to do with the boot handle should there be a gasket or seal or something to prevent water getting in?

Water can also come in around the reversing light housing if it is not sealed properly

I also get water in the well on the opposite side to the battery. Mine is coming-in via the rear screen seal. I bought a half car cover that only covers the roof and windows, and that stops the leak. I thought it might be the reversing light, or boot seal, or the fuel cap, but seems its the screen, as that's the only bit the cover covers. The seal is quite new, so I guess it wasn't fitted very well.

I also have had both screens replaced with new and I don't see sign of leakage. Boot fills up when standing not rolling so you might be right.
