I have not looked at, or posted on here for nine years. I can't believe its been that long, but how time flies !
Just thought I would look in and see who is still about, who is not, and who has shuffled the mortal coil, and what's happening.
Not much by the looks of it. My Rover is still in the garage, untouched, and buried under the accrued carp. Can only see the grille ! I have lost interest in it really, for various reasons, but I think its going to have to go soon, as I will shortly have nowhere to keep it inside.

Hi Graham, It certainly has been a long time. I also don't manage to visit the forum as often as I once did, and I have something worth posting even less often. My poor old car is also sitting neglected in the shed, under a tarp. Still needs lots of attention after fixing a head gasket leak many years ago. Good to hear from you.

Hi Warwick
Good to see you are still around. Shame about the car neglect really, but there always seems to be something more pressing to do, and it seems to getting worse, not better. I wish I had a shed that I could put the car into, the rain and damp, especially in winter here, does them no favours at all. I guess for you its more about keeping the sun off the rubber and upholstery. Here in Europe it seems that a lot of countries are blistering hot and having terrible fires. What's the situation like there ?

Thanks Vince, but alas there is always a mountain of stuff to do with a higher priority. Even the poor old Range Rover is languishing under the carport awaiting yet another power steering pump replacement due to periodic shaft seal failure on this particular model.

What's the situation like there ? Hi Graham, you're not wrong there. They need to be create protected from prolonged sunlight UV exposure. Just like we do. We've had a reasonably wet, but not particularly cold winter, so the grass and undergrowth has grown well, so when it all dries out in the anticipated hot summer, it makes really good fuel. We also get more dry thunderstorms in summer these days, so more lightning strikes to start fires. It certainly has been looking bad in your hemisphere.
