Looking for a rear bumper in good condition for a P5 Mk1 3-litre please. Apart from the over riders are they the same part for the P5B?

I think that they are all the same. There are a couple on ebay, but very expensive and a re-manufactured one might not be totally correct. It is usually best to re-chrome what is on the car and someone may be able to recommend a chroming company. The problem with the P5 bumper is that it is in one piece and needs a long tank to be dipped in. Some chromers only have smaller tanks and so dip one half of the bumper and then the other, which leaves a join in the middle to be polished out. My bumper is like that, it is only just noticeable, but would be better without.

thanks for this. I had both bumpers re-chromed about 10 years or so ago. They did point out the horizontal bend midway along the top edge. It might have been nice if the body shop guys who removed it might have tried to straighten it. Needs clamping but I think any damage was caused already as it grew a rust area about 6" x 3" so I doubt it can be fixed now.

All options are quite expensive.
What about stainless replacements? How would they compare cost wise and appearance, longevity etc.?
