I noticed some new rear shock absorbers now at £66. Are these rare items? The steering relay is steadily rising too. I wouldn't have thought that the relay is a part prone to wear unless all the oil drained out. Richard

I agree and well overpriced I see a complete L612 sidelamp has now appeared and I can see that going pretty high especially when you tot up the individual parts as per JRW. I will be following its rise as I have a new assembly ( sans box) which I bought at a small autojumble 10 years ago for £3.50 ;D ;D Also a nice saloon on Ebay for £2k which should make a lot more but I would have expected some more internal shots especially of the rear. What about the mudflaps though, a final price of £122.00. A lot of money for basically four bits of rubber.

As with everything, if you dont want/need something, then it is not worth anything !
But if you do............thats a different story !

The L612 went for similar money to the Relay but I know what I would rather have I did put in a futile bid but i guessed it would go for quite a lot as it is a quality item. If the components were bought new from JRW I think the total including VAT and P & P would be nearer £100 Richard

If Roverpart of London put in a bid of £70 for the sidelight then it must be worth quite a bit.

;D I`m happy about the mudflaps going for £122, I bought the exact same set unused at the Knebworth classic car show and paid an extortionate £15 for the lot. Who said P5 owners are tight!!!

Yes John, the side light must be worth that sort of money if a professional dealer has offered £70.He must have been expecting a reasonable turn on it. Richard

Why is that? If it is an original part then surely Lucas turned them out to the same standard every time. I know that o/e wings etc need adjustments but I am surprised to learn that brightwear has the same problem. I still regret missing it Richard
