I am currently producing magnetic sump plugs for various BMC and Triumph models, and have been asked if either of them would fit a P5 3-litre. I think it is probably unlikely, but have considered producing a plug for the Rover. What I am trying to establish is whether the same plug was used throughout the Rover range - i.e. P4, P5 and P6, etc. or whether they were all different. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Dave

Hi everyone. I am not into the mechanical side as much, so if no one else is,........ Magnetic sump plugs catch particles before they go through the oil pump causing wear.

I think some were the same but SD1 V8 types are bigger than P5B types - I will check P4/P5/Land Rover when I next change oils
