Is this going ahead - there seems to have been no mention recently in Take 5 If so is it too late to send pictures and how?

The last thing I heard was that the cost was proving prohibitive but I am sure it will be discussed at the AGM on 30th October when I hope as many members as possible will come along.

As Dorsetflyer mentined the production costs are prohibitive (£11K+), though I am looking at an alternative. More info at the AGM.

OK, so for all those of us who were unable to make it to the AGM, what is the latest on this?

Souvenir book is out - far too expensive. With everything inc. postage £15k+
Cigarette cards is an option - each issue of Take Five would contain say 50 cards. Still pending.
DVD of the years events (compilation version) - currently being investigated.

Perhaps it would be better to leave the souvenir booklet until the 25th Anniversary of the club. Sold at an affordable price to members and the leftovers sold at a higher price to anyone who wants them to make up the shortfall. I don't know about cigarette cards, they can be damaged easily and one would need a special wallet to be made available so they can be viewed easily.

I would have thought that a DVD compilation of club members cars could be easily produced by a photographic enthusiast on a home PC these days.
Or even professionaly perhaps.
DVD can be cheaply reproduced too.
Cheers
