As I now know how to place pictures on this forum for those that have not already seen them here are our two P5's which are my alternate everyday runners. One is a 1964 Mk2c Coupe Auto - the other a 1973 3.5 saloon The Coupe will shortly be off the road for an engine transplant as the original has rattling bearings and uses oil at 50 miles per pint! Still it starts first time in all weathers, pulls well and does not smoke - they made them well in those days. 16mpg though

The original owner wasn't Howard Hall by any chance? It is a Cheshire number and he had a coupe black over grey back in the 60's if my memory serves me right..

No - but good spotting about the Cheshire number plate. I thought that Black over Grey was rare but I caught brief sight of another drivingg out of the P4DG rally at Kelmash last year.
It actually a victim of number plater raiders but before it caught on (1980) like today and the DVLA then issued local age related plates rather than the Scottish versions they do nowadays.
Its original number was CBB 2B
