Hi Rover fans, I want to restore/renovate (myself) the interior of my P5B Saloon which is intact but dirty and dry with some of the stitching split. Is it an easy job to re-stitch? Any advice? Also, I want to clean, treat and recolour the whole interior in same colour (A light tan/cream? Body is admiralty blue). Any suggestions as to what product/kit to use. The Woolies kits used to be the best but is that still the case with all the new innovation that's taken place? I read one member's recommendation of the 'Liquid Leather' products by Gliptone, but I find their website a little confusing and I'm not sure what to order and how much. I would be most grateful for any advice. Best regards, Richard.

Richard I used a Woolies kit on my saloon(it`s the one on the title age). In the kit you get a piece of cotton cloth to apply the colour, throw it away! or use it for something else because after a while the dye dries in the cloth and drags off what you`ve already applied. Buy yourself a packet of the cheap sponge blocks with scouring pad on one side. When cleaning use the scourer side to lift the leather grain, this allows dirt out and colour in. Then apply colour with sponge side. Squeezing the sponge occasionally will release dye into the cracks and creases. When you have applied one coat throw the sponge away and use a fresh one. You should need about 3 coats depending on how discoloured they are, if i remember thats about 4 bottles.
Hope this helps
David

Thanks to both of you for that. Any further advice/opinions would be most welcome. Richard.
