Hi on my sd1 heads they have single valve springs but on my p5b heads they have double valve springs should i use the double valve springs on my sd1 heads And all so how do you tell the differance of the sd1 heads and the p5b heads they look the same

The SD1 heads have to use the single valve springs.The valves are bigger in the SD1 heads.

I put the two valves together and they look the same size

SD1 valves are bigger than P5B valves, maybe your heads have been modified to use the SD1 valves already. Easiest way to tell the heads apart is the spark plugs, P5B uses short reach (L92Y) plugs, SD1 uses long reach (N12Y)

They dont accept the old short reach 2 valve spring heads for reconditioning at Rimmer bros. They are not lead free friendly anyway.
