hi guys and gals noticed this morn the power steering was making a a gowling noise when turning the wheel seems ok now!!! any ideas??? big andy

It could be low on oil - but many system make that noise and it quite normal. Sometimes its causes by air getting in via worn seals other times by the high pressure pipes vibrating on the body.
The colder the oil the worse it will be - ignore it as long as its full with oil and the belt is tight

A couple of years ago I had the same problem, mainly when approaching full lock either way. The steering wheel also seemed to shudder at the same time. All was cured by topping up the reservoir to the correct height

I've had my car 22 years & the steering has always sung to me. It's never caused any harm.
