HI ALL I AM ABOUT TO START PUTTING THE FRONT SUSPENSION BACK TOGETHER COUPLE OF QUESTIONS 1/ CAN THE TOP AND BOTTOM SWIVEL JOINTS BE SPLIT FROM CASINGS WITHOUT DAMAGE?
2/IF SO WHAT TYPE OF LUBRICATION IS BEST FOR REASSEMBLY?

I assume you mean once the bottom one has been pressed out from the radius arm?
Yes & no - the bottom ones will require new threaded brass nuts and you will probably need new nylon liners. Its easier to source NOS or good secondhand ones they are pricey but do turn reasonably regularly. Why do you want to dismantle them - boil them up in motorbike chain lube (not to hot though - it will melt the nylon!)
Early ones (Mk1's) had grease nipples but were made differerntly inside I understand Ordinary Lithium grease or HMP even should be OK

good tip about the chain lube i just wanted to make sure i had some lubrication in them before putting it all back together the stuff that is in them at the moment is hard in places and very sticky in others not seen stuff like it before.
