A warning to anyone travelling to the rally via the Forth Road Bridge; be prepared for significant delays on the northbound approach to the bridge, work on the new toll plaza is causing massive tailbacks on the A8000 and A904 approaches to the Echline roundabout. Best approach seems to be on the A90 from the Barnton. Anyone coming from the west should use the Kincardine Bridge and travel via Saline. Praying for a dry day!

Hello, I recently joined the P5 club, and was fortunate enough to be visiting Edinburgh (well, my girl-friend actually) the weekend of the SARR rally and was able to come over and have a look - I really appreciated the friendly welcome from the exhibitors, the chats and tips and the quality of the cars. I've been living in France for the last 32 years, and have recently acquired two (yes!) MK I's, both with seized engines, having been stood on blocks for the last 20 years. One is in good condition, complete, the other missing the front LH wing. Both cars are left-hand drives, French registered with all papers, and the correct numbers for the 3-litre engines. I have another right-hand drive MK III with the British reg. document, no engine or steering box, which I'm plundering for bits. All chrome trim is in good condition, and the bumpers passable, once re-chromed. Also in the stable (read: barn) are 5 x P6 V8, 3 x P6 2000, Renault Dauphine, BMW 2002 tii in need of lots of tlc and a Daimler Sovereign XJ40, and I almost forgot my old faithful P4 110 which I've run since 1983 I live near the N154 going down from Dieppe/Le Havre towards Chartres, a main drag for lots of tourists, so if you are passing this way, my telephone is 00 33 232 60 36 89, drop in for a cuppa or a glassa.
