I took YAL 652 H on the 3 Lochs run yesterday, here is a photo taken at the starting point, the old Argyll Motor Works in Alexandria. Quite a frontage, both in terms of the cars and the building!

I've been to Alexandria a couple of times whilst staying in Helensburgh, but I cannot remember seeing that building. Mind you I was in my wifes humble Maestro. I was visiting the hospital there so don't know whether I would have seen it or not.

The Argyll works is virtually opposite the Vale of Leven Hospital! The building was derelict for some time, and was only reopened as a shopping mall in 1998. It has had quite a history, making cars, munitions, electronics and it's a factory outlet venue. For more info go to: www.motoringheritage.co.uk/html/the_centre.htmlregards TC

Thanks for the info. Trevor, I cannot remember it at all. It would have been around 1994 as my Grandaughter was born in that hospital in June.
