Last Sunday my wife and I went for a run with the BMC/Leyland Car Club to Churchill Island, which is just a few kms over the bridge at San Remo heading towards Phillip Island in Victoria. We all met up at Tooradin a small main road Town on the way down for morning coffee or tea before proceeding in convoy. Looking good. Just out of curiosity, what colour is that? It could be my screen but sometimes it almost looks like Zircon yet from certain angles it seems to have a hint of grey. It's surprising how the 'modern'parked alongside seems to dwarf the P5B, which was considered to be a big car in its day; well, certainly in its home market

Hi Tony, the original colour of my car is Juniper green (a bit too dull for my liking). The current colour has both blue and black added to it for a darker overall tone. The car is also lower than most P5s.

Not wishing to be a stick in the mud, but is it worth having another Picture a day thread of 'other' classics and events? The idea of this one was so that a P5 junkie could scroll through and get their fill of P5 jpegs. I know its been quieter recently but still its nice to have a place to put a pic of your P5 or one you have seen. But I reckon pics of a show of other cars should go elsewhere? Otherwise it doesn't do what it says on the tin!

To fill a blank....
Here is one of us at our Hotel in Scotland; the Bentley carried on further North the next day, whilst we stayed in the area.

This one is of us being 'waved off' for the SARR 'run'. Having been adjudicated to being the 'furthest travelled', we were first off!

I had one hell of a shock the other day, when I was told I was colour blind. That came totally out of the purple...! But I can see the true colour of this 'beast', unfortunately. Maybe the paint was free?

The lettering on the Bentley bonnet looks like 'The Flying Lady' is it something like that? Great photo by the way!

You are close! It reads "The Fast Lady"; it was immaculate too!
Anyway, here is another one from us..
We are on a bridge in the Scottish Borders; the weight restrictions mean only one car at a time, otherwise it would end up as a swimming lesson!

This time we are near Glasgow. The structure in the background should tell you where! This trip was a rain filled one - they are not all sunshine!

...and this is where we parked whilst trying our skills on an indoor karting circuit. Kindly, the time keepers mentioned that I caught their attention by going faster each lap! Sadly though, not quite fast enough to make the 'cut' for the final 'shoot out' - next time perhaps!

In a car park on the 'Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway', in Snowdonia, a case of "Well hello there, good to see you again after our jaunt in Italy"!

This one is in the North Wales "Italiante Village" of 'Portmeirion'; the petrol pump did not work though!
'Portmeirion' is famous for the cult TV series in the '60's of 'The Prisoner' and, pottery. A lovely place to visit.

Parked up for a break on a tour in the Cotswolds. There is big and there is abusing the privilege!

This time we are parked up on the dockside at Pembroke Harbour, South West Wales, en route for Rosslare, in the Irish Republic to meet a tour at Waterford (where they are famous for making glass products.

We were on a 'wander' in the Waterford area; for the avoidance of doubt, we are on the road!

Have had some time out for a new hip and lengthening of leg; seems we may be running dry on this topic.
The location on this picture is self explanatory.

At Sunday's Western Australia Rover Owners Club picnic, there were 3 white P5 coupes. Unfortunately I could not persuade them to all park in a row, so I just have two of them. The drug lord in the LH picture is me with my 3 litre just to my R. The headlamp surrounds are off waiting for me to fit LED headlights.

The Fast Lady was a film featuring a Bentley. Starring James Robinson Justice I believe.

Hi Glen, you are correct; have a look at the posting from 'moonchariot' on Feb under the 'anything but a Rover' pictures.
Meanwhile, our journey continued with a short stop-off and, a picture!
