Here, we decided to 'park up' for the day and go into town in a taxi, due to the huge crowds gathering for a local derby 'Gaelic football' match; the home team won.
We had a good day 'chilling out' and, in the return taxi, we were chatting to the driver (from Brum) and he mentioned that there was a lovely dark Green P5 in the Hotel car park - a Saint I am not!
The Austin next to us has in fact been built for competition and, we were told, rattles along at a surprising turn of speed!

Here's one from me. Took it last fall but I suppose that we're all longing for some nicer weather, aren't we.

Here we are nearing the end of our tour but, as can be seen, it was downhill and, across the plains!
It is my understanding that the road up to where we are at, is also used for time trials! 'Google' it and have a
looksee for yourself!

This one was taken at a local Carnival. Both were used as wedding transport for a daughter of the Burgundy one.

Does anyone know if this car is registered with the Club? I owned it back in the mid / late 90's.It was unusual in that it had a copper metallic painted roof with Webasto sunroof.Apologies for the poor quality of the picture.

Thanks for the info Andy, I checked DVLA mot history and that says there is no record of WNC 901L, seems odd, maybe it has been scrapped!

Thought that you might like this one but do appreciate that there is not much of the P5B!
Taken on a run in Kent one Autumn.

Must say the yellow fog lights go very well with the (Arden?) green!
Cheers, Olaf

Olaf,
Yes, Arden Green. Re the yellow fog lights - yellow is painted but when driving in heavy rain, it was washed off! Have reverted to clear for the time being but have thought about using non standard lights with yellow bulbs! We shall see!
Here ends my 'P5' input!

Around 1960 i remember a translucent iodine coloured paint called Fogcote - a small screw top jar in which there was a brush attached inside the lid. We would paint it over the top half of headlights in the firm belief it would help us see through fog. I don't remember hitting anything so it must have worked.

My '64 coupe. Nissan QD32 turbo intercooled diesel, 4 speed Nissan auto. Goes like a rocket. I've taken probably 400 lbs out of it with different seats, plus the engine and 'box. Now approx 2.6 to 1 ratio in lock-up, I painted it the original Maroon. Car had been left for dead. I resurrected it, so feel justified in modernizing it. (Petrol is about $9/gallon.)
