“Nigel Slater – Life is Sweets”. MONDAY 5TH NOVEMBER, 9pm, BBC4.
Message received by the Rover P5 Club. Whether it be access to locations, free honey (!), or even a journey in a classic Rover P5, without your generosity and time before, during and perhaps even after filming, the show would not have been so widely celebrated at the BBC. For this, on behalf of Doghouse Media Ltd, I would like to offer our huge thanks!

I saw a documentary about Nigel Slater a year or so back and a Coupe was used in that program as his father's car. I think it's the one that's on You Tube in a very nice golden sort of colour.
What car is used in the forthcoming program?

What car is used in the forthcoming program? Our Promotional Car Register man Geoff Arthur did not let me into the secret. We will just have to wait and see unless he reads this.

The Nigel slater prog is using a very nice P5 3 litre saloon belonging to member Geoff Hackett and supplied to the TV company quite a few weeks ago. Nigel particularly wanted a 3 litre saloon this time as that was what his father actually had, not the unusual colour 3.5 coupe used previously. As long as I am helping get P5s onto TV and into the consciousness of the public I am happy. When ITV "Endeavour" comes back soon it will have 2 of P5 3 litres featured and both sourced via me and club members.

I would like to see a P5b on a TV programe for a change. I get a bit fed up with seeing the lumbering 3 Litre appearing but I'm sure Nigel has got his car right. I think the public would warm far more to the "racier" V8 It just looks so much better from all angles. Sorry to the P5 guys. No offence intended.

Few owners then and even fewer now raced in their P5B's Coupes or Saloon anyway the 3 Litre Coupe is far more dignified and only slightly slower than its racous V8 upstart

Just my opinion. By the way, when I was a little lad, my bike had front and rear mudguards and was red. It was a Gresham Flyer made in the 1950's. Very posh.I went miles on that little bike Your bike's the P5 and my bike's the V8
