Is it your car Mahatmacoat? If so, can you give us more details and pictures please? It's clever

wow!! That front section is crying out to be made in a 1 piece Fibreglass mould ! You have a cool hot rod with that! I hope you have a 'safe' anchorage to stop it falling on your neck and killing you! ;o)

No this is not my car, it's a build going on that's only just started from another site. Never seen this done to a rover p5 before and thought it would be interesting to follow and see the end result.

Sorry to be a spoil sport but I don't like it. Why don't you suggest it's swapped for a Triumph Herald?
The inner wings have to go back for strength apart from the 101 other issues I would have with it.
What a waste of time. One mod too many IMO.

I bet theres a lot more to that story such as bigger engine and chassis work to ensure the strength is retained... Winston Sewells P5 drag racer had no inner wings and tubular chassis work to retain the strength.. not something you would do to your every day car but to a racer..essential for suspension mods and clearance

Which site is it on by the way? Would love to have a looksee..... Well Roy you may be familiar with the "rods n sods" site, where you will find a broad range of automotive fetling, mostly of a very high standard and based around American and custom themes, it's very popular with thousands of posts every day covering almost everything. It is a very good read and amusing also Here is a link to their opening forum page www.rodsnsods.co.uk/forum/And here for the p5 build www.rodsnsods.co.uk/forum/garage/street-racer-p5-68227Enjoy

You are not a spoilsport mate everyone likes different things and although I personally like stock cars I can appreciate the effort and work that would go into something like that.
