It doesn't happen often, but there are some posts recently and buried in the forum that read as being impolite or bullying. I have zero interest in getting involved, but I want to say how damaging this is: it discourages open discussion, puts-off the less confident from contributing, and reinforces every negative cliche about Rover owners and our cars. Nobody gains except the ego of those involved.
This forum is a great resource for P5/P5B owners old and new. Knowing help is readily available played a big part in my decision to buy a P5B. The ability for newbies (and the more experienced) to ask questions, make suggestions and get support is important in encouraging new people into the world of P5/P5B's, as well as keeping the existing P5/P5B community alive.
This forum is, to many people, the public face of the P5 Club. I know this isn't factually correct, but most people don't know that and these comments reflect on the club and everyone involved. Other forums have rules that if you don't have something positive to say, don't say it. I think it would be useful on here.

The Moderating Team do try and monitor such posts, but it is difficult to check every posting on such an active site. It is sometimes the interpretation of a comment, rather than a spoken word which can be misread. Hopefully people will see that this is a friendly and welcoming site. If anyone is unhappy with comments made by individuals, contact a Moderator, or use the 'Report Post' option which can be found in the drop down box - the green box with a cog and black downward facing arrow, top right hand corner of your reply window.

Some times something may be written that others may not agree with and offence is taken, whereas if a discussion is taking place at a pub night the comments are discussed and every ones views accepted. I am sure that the last thing the majority of members on the forum want to do is offend others, after all we all share a love of our Rovers.
