hello all Looking to convert my P5B to a man choke Talking to fellow owners at a show yesterday i gather i have two choices
1) a switch under the dash to turn the AED off ? 2) conversion kit to change to man chokes and usual pull out choke on dash kits from JD Wadham or Dave Green
so , is info above correct if so which is best/easiest way forward ?
many thanks biff

I ended up putting a choke conversion on to the AED system. I bought mine from Burlen Fuels and if my memory is correct it is the same one used on a MkII Jaguar. Link: burlen.co.uk/

Surprised there are any AEDs left.
Mine went years ago and with it stuck on it did 10 MPG. I got a kit to put on but there were so many bits and pieces I let the Rover dealer do it. When I went to collect it they said that there was a problem with the pull cable. Something had stuck and the 'mechanic' had pulled on the handle until the wire split out through the casing !. Since then my mechanical knowledge has improved, so if you are fairly handy with the spanners you should be able to do it.
