Still happy so far, I went to work with the P5 today, drive it for 35 miles, speed up to 110 Km:h and no strange noise or vibration

Sounds like you need to install a fireplace Cyf.
Alternatively it could be an air lock in the heater matrix as its the highest point in the system.
I always jack up the front end of the car (or park on a very steep hill with car pointing upwards and then run the car briefly with the cap off and turn off and top up then do the same again a few times. Seems to get rid of the air locks in the heater matrix and the top hose. Obviously you need to make sure the heater controls are set to hot when you top up.
If it hasn't been done for a while you could flush the heater matrix or possibly even use a de-scaler.
I have a spare heater matrix if you need one. Somwehere!

Well thank you Alan The propsahft assembly is back on the car. I quickly read the links and thought that I had better look at them before starting the job! I surely made mistakes What i'm sure is that the yokes are parallel/parallel and that the bushes and spring on the bearing carrier are new. What I'm not sure is if the yokes were marked correctly before disassembling and correctly reasembled with new UJ's because I leave it to the garage. I'm also not sure of the correct position of the bearing carrier. i have no instruments to check the angle of the shafts. I guess that the best way to find out if there's nothing wrong is to have a road test, right? I hope I won't break everything.... Hi, If you need a device to measure inclines and propshaft angles, look no further than your smart phone. You can download free inclinometer apps, which work amazingly well. I have just spent the night sorting out a seriously annoying vibration, after months of head scratching which I initially felt was caused by out of balance carbs or maybe a missfire on a cylinder, even possibly an out of balance wheel. After reading through the vast amount of knowledge shared by the members on these forums, and watching you tube videos on propshaft alignment, I decided to get her up in the air and delve into the hidden secrets of the propshaft. The car had new springs fitted by the previous owner and she does sit a little higher than I would like, saying that I will be towing a bubble car to shows, so maybe it not a bad thing.. I wondered if the centre bearing had been adjusted to compensate for the lowered axle position and more acute angle. My first observation was that the bolts on the centre u.j were slightly loose. The bearing carrier was adjust to its highest position, which created a fair difference in shaft angles. I also noticed that alignment arrows had be scatched onto the rear shaft spline joint, but they were approx 120 degrees opposite and the UJ Yokes were out of alignment.. After lining the shaft up with the arrows, tightening the centre U.J bolts and dropping the height of the centre bearing to straighten out the propshaft line and minimize the difference in angles between the two shafts it was time for a test drive.. She has been transformed!. The only way that I can explain it is that feeling you get when you put a brand new blade in your razor after using the last one too the point were it was plucking the hairs not cutting them.. So I really need to say a huge thanks for all the articles that people have posted in relation to propshaft vibrations.. I now have a P5B Coupe that drives as she should, smoothly and very refined !

Sorry to jump in on Cyf's thread but it IS topical. Does anyone have a list of part numbers for the bearings, U/Js and any other components needed to fully overhaul a P5B propshaft? No point paying specialist prices if they are readily available from industrial bearing suppliers.
