Hi, I am in Southland, New Zealand - up the road from the South Pole. I just bought a dead straight Rover 95 without an engine but with the manual gearbox. I also bought a 3 liter motor with a Westlake head that used to have an auto on the back. So my question is can I maybe machine down the boss on the end of the crank which has a slightly larger diameter than the locating ring on the engine side of the 95 flywheel and go from there. Otherwise all the bolt patterns look to be the same. Tim Hanna

It depends on whether the engine was off a MK3 auto - those before have different crankshaft and cannot be made to fit easliy

If it is a late 3 litre my understanding is that the auto and manual crank are the same. Post the engine number. I can give you a good 3 litre flywheel if you pay for the freight from Wellington. Can also do a 3 litre clutch set. Might need a few dollars for the clutch.
