I got a set out of a P5B and they are short. (or maybe I'm large ) I've bought a 4 metre set but haven't fitted them yet. I measured my original ones, they were approximately 3m long. Haven't measured the Quickfit belts' length, but they're long enough for me to bend forward and access the glove compartment, so that's just fine. Hi Olaf, any chance you could post some photos of the new seatbelts? I'm interested in seeing how they compare to the Securon belts. Sure, see below. Cheers, Olaf

Thanks Olaf, they look very nice - I agree the chrome is better than the matt black that other belts have.

Hello ;
On my P5b saloon I first installed the discovery belts but one of them worked badly; I therefore replaced by those of volvo 240. You just have to make an extension for the central loops with a flat iron. Stef

Replacing the carpets in my P5B, I realized the seat belt buckles were fitted to the seat support, which will not hold much. Reading this thread, it is evident that the Securon belts are too tight, and I can personally confirm that, since there are Securon belts in my 1977 VW Bus. The interesting thing is that the dimensions of the VW belts are the same as the P5. The 45 cm long wire stalk is important. The good thing is that there are so many VW Busses and a larger selection of seat belts available. I have purchased this set: www.vwheritage.com/211857691acrm-front-seat-belt-3-point-inertia-with-modern-buckle-and-cream-webbing-for-walk-through-vw-spareThe are very nice and comfortable. Not too tight. The brand is Orion.
