Is the 3-litre Mk1 manual steering shared with any cars in the P4 range? I am looking for photo or illustration please.

Im looking to replace the P5 manual with an electronic PAS one but the supplier states they have done plenty of P4s but no P5 to date and has asked if the P4 on which they have experience, is the same as the P4. JRW has a drawing on his website. My P5 runs on 180/80/15s at 34 psi and is fine except for parking and tight turning. My P5B is dangerously too light as in thread recently posted elsewhere.

thanks Dicky. Both my Rovers are in the same thread with different issues. Insofar as the P5B coupe is concerned, it passed the MoT without advisories in July - however is is going back again for further investigation re: tracking etc with the Forum comments, which is why i asked if a complete layout was available. As for the tyres there are as many of my friends running on 180s as there are 190s which isn't helpful.

while the P5B was off-road for other reasons I had the front suspension stripped and report - replaced lower arm axle rod bushes, OSF lower ball joint, both outer track rod end rods, anti-roll bar links, pins, bushes and 6 mounts. Reset torsion bar ride height and tracking checked. In all quite a different car, the steering now close to my modern. My thanks to all those who showed interest in this matter.
