feel real stupid but how do you get the cards and wood off? andy

Coupes and saloons are different but both start with removing the arm-rests 4 big Philips screws - make sure the large thich spacing washers do not get lost - then remove the handle circlips by hooking a bent wire (like stiff choke cable) behind the levers when upright.
The door cards just pull off using a wide chisel scraper behind - be careful not to tear the hardboard and covering. The door frame/wood fixings will then be apparent
When replacing make sure the polythene is not damaged otherwise water will damage the trims as most have been
