I had several Rover P5Bs which I restored some years ago as a hobby. I recently decided it was time to give up hard work on cars and buy a car to settle down with and keep. However, I fell in love with an Armstrong Siddeley in unbelievable top condition with a pre-select gearbox, , after a year of sorting the small niggling faults on it, I have had a great deal of trouble getting to like the car. I know some cars you feel happy driving them others for some strange reason you don`t take to. I made the decision last week to sell it and fortunately I have a buyer, due to holidays it isn`t going until after the 18th Sept.but I can then look round for a Rover P5B Coupe a car I know and love, so crossing fingers I am now searching the car ads. and hope to be in touch shortly. Look at several - there are many out there trade and private only fit for breaking or banger racing. They can look perfect for a quick sale and price is no measure
The P5B Coupe is highly sought after and has a price premium for its style but in essence no better in performance and worse in comfort than the saloon. The 3 Litres are worth a try but do drive them before buying
