Anyone know how the origonal feed to the headrests is run from the front console? or the rear heater control? and how are the curly leads connected to the wiring loom?

No, but I have seen some awful attempts at doing this - there is supposed to be a plug/socket affair at the seat base, have you got this?

I found the info in the 3lt parts book it shows the headrest being fed from the front then into a standard block connector! can anyone tell me where the block is situated?

the headrests'lights are fed from the cigar lighter feeding wire. There is a twin blade male socket that connects to a female which has a housing in the headrest support in the back seat. The wire is then routed through the side hinge trim with a very small grommett; it's going then under the carpet, under the gearlever casing and finally to the connection on the cigar lighter feed. ( my car had the headrests' lights fitted by a Rover dealership in 1972 with a factory kit) The wires are black.

yes they join a little before the connection to the fog lights switch feed ( I mentioned the cigar lighter by mistake) This way, they work only when the lights are on.

Ok thanks John, there are two spare bullet connectors R/W wire and a Black at the same point as the R/W feed to the bulb for the Gear Shift Lever, I think that is where they must feed from.

That would seem to be the logical place but I doubt it, as then the head rest lights would be under the dimmer panel light control and thus all the panel lights would have to be on at full brilliance. This may or not matter of course as I am not certain whther anyone actuall uses these devices anyway!!
